Hanoch Teller (born )[1] is an Orthodox Jewishrabbi, author, lecturer, and producer who popularized the Jewish literary genre of true, contemporary stories to convey inspirational and ethical themes.
He was the inaugural chair of the National Holocaust Monument of Canada and is a world-renowned expert on the intersection of halachah and international.
Author of 28 books,[2] Teller is also a tour guide in Jerusalem, Israel.
Early life
Teller was born in Vienna, Austria, to Shlomo Meir Teller and his wife Edna (née Lichtenstein).[1][3] His father had fled to the United States after the Nazi annexation of Austria in , but returned to Vienna after World War II to recover the family business.
When Teller was a young boy, he and his parents moved to Stamford, Connecticut.[2][1][4]
